Welcome to Clitheroe District Scouts

Find news, events and activities affecting Scouting within Clitheroe, the Ribble Valley and the surrounding villages. Click the links on the right hand side box to contact your local Scout Group and find out what Scouts are doing in your neighbourhood.

Scouting is very much alive and growing within Clitheroe District. We are now made up of 4 Groups within Clitheroe, 7 in the surrounding villages, 2 Explorer Units for Scouts aged 14–18 and a Scout Network Unit for young people aged 18–25. Many of the Scouts Groups have a Beaver colony (age 6–8), Cub Packs (age 8–10½), and Scouts (age 10½–14).

There is also a District Activities Team which organises a number of District Activities each year to which all Scouts are invited. Further information can be found on the news page. You can also check out what’s going on, on our Facebook page or on Twitter- @ClitheroeScouts

As always, suggestions and ideas are welcome. We’re always on the lookout for adult volunteers to help join in with the fun and adventure – with more adults, we can take more young people! We’ve also a number of roles “behind the scenes,” so if that’s more your thing, please get in touch.

Drop us a note on the contacts page. We’d love to hear from you!

Alternatively, you can email Chris Harrop, Clitheroe’s DC.
